LORI’S BIO

Lori McClellan, Reiki Master Teacher and Reiki Practitioner, RMT, RP, founded The Reiki Space™ in 2013 in Los Gatos, California, relocating her practice to Downeast Maine in 2021. She has been practicing Traditional Japanese Reiki (Usui Reiki Ryoho) professionally for people and animals since 2013, and teaching students since 2014. A San Jose, California native, spiritual practitioner since 1985, and an Instructor in the Arts since 1988, in 2010 Lori was introduced to Reiki by her childhood friend. Studying Reiki in Level I/Shoden, Level II/Okuden, and Levels IIIA and IIIB/Shinpiden with Joyce Leonard, RMT/RP and Founder of Santa Cruz Reiki Works in Ben Lomond, California, Lori received the great privilege of becoming her teacher’s first Reiki Master Teacher/RMT graduate in 2014. Also in 2014, Lori completed the Animal Reiki Core Curriculum, taught by Kathleen Prasad, RMT/RP, Founder of Animal Reiki Source and Co-founder and President of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA), both based in San Rafael, California. Joyce Leonard and Kathleen Prasad are students of Frans Stiene of the International House of Reiki.

Lori’s Reiki Lineage offers an integrative connection to Usui-san’s Reiki teachings, focused on personal development, promoting relaxation, and a restoration of balance and optimal well-being of the body, mind, and spirit. Lori’s daily, dedicated Reiki self-practice, including meditation, as well as ongoing training, volunteerism, and an active participation in a global Reiki Community provides a solid foundation in which to share with her students, clients, and readers.
